Refund Policy

Black Swan Anglers

Effective Date: February 02, 2020

Black Swan Anglers values transparency, fairness, and clear communication. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds, credits, or transfers may be issued for programs, events, and merchandise.

1. Programs, Classes & Excursions

Standard Cancellation Policy

  • 7+ days prior to event:
    Full refund minus any non-refundable processing fees, or option to transfer to a future event.

  • 3–6 days prior to the event:
    50% refund or full credit toward a future Black Swan Anglers event.

  • Less than 72 hours before the event / No-show:
    No refund. Credit may be issued at Black Swan Anglers’ discretion.

2. Weather & Safety Cancellations

  • Outdoor conditions are part of the experience. Events may proceed in light rain or variable weather.

  • If Black Swan Anglers cancels due to unsafe conditions, participants will receive:

    • A full refund, or

    • A full credit toward a rescheduled or future event (participant’s choice unless otherwise stated).

3. Instructor or Operational Cancellations

If Black Swan Anglers must cancel due to instructor availability, permitting issues, or unforeseen operational concerns, participants will receive a full refund or full credit.

4. Transfers & Substitutions

  • Event registrations may be transferred to another person with prior written approval.

  • Transfers must be requested at least 48 hours before the event start time.

  • Transfers are subject to eligibility and capacity requirements.

5. Private Events & Group Bookings

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

  • Final payment deadlines will be outlined in the booking agreement.

  • Cancellations within 7 days of a private event are non-refundable due to reserved staffing and resources.

6. Merchandise Sales

  • All merchandise sales are final, unless the item arrives damaged or defective.

  • Claims for damaged or incorrect items must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.

  • Approved returns or exchanges may require photo documentation.

7. Gift Cards & Credits

  • Gift cards and event credits are non-refundable.

  • Credits are transferable unless otherwise stated and must be used within 12 months of issuance.

8. Failure to Meet Requirements

No refunds or credits will be issued if a participant:

  • Fails to meet eligibility, fitness, or experience requirements

  • Is removed due to violation of the Code of Conduct

  • Arrives late or leaves early by personal choice

9. Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.

10. Policy Acknowledgment

By registering for an event, purchasing merchandise, or participating in any Black Swan Anglers offering, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy.
